    A great product overall

    Pros: 1. Print quickly with double sides. 2. Compact size for A3 printer. 3. Very quiet when working Cons: 1. The choice for "draft" quality was always disabled. I can't work it out when I tried to save inks.

    Just OK

    Almost total lack of support for Linux. Clumsy manual control of A3 - A4 paper size. There are software clashes with the Brother supplied Linux driver that stops the printer working at all. Print quality and speed are excellent, AFTER selecting the right paper size.

    Perfect for A3 printing and scanning

    Great printer! Definitely better for A3 printing which is what I need. It chews through ink quickly, but I print A LOT - so that is subject to the user. It does print double-sided A3 (that was my concern at first). The scanning is the best feature about it. You can scan straight onto a USB, which if you use Brothers god-awful iprint&Scan app - there are major issues with scanning a lot of pages at once. With this printer you can scan straight to USB with no limit of intake. I did notice a few paper jams (easily fixable) but that only happened with A4 printing. Not all the time but something I have noticed. It's a beast and it seems durable. Very happy.

    OK for a younger person --very hard for a old boy.

    It is a great product when you get it set up and working. I am 90 years of age and it took me a long time. I found the instructions very very hard to understand as I have not been able to keep up with technological development. It would be wonderful if technicians understood that we are not all technicians and do not understand a lot of their Jargon.

    Almost perfect

    I've always liked Brother printers. This one is almost perfect. It's a bit tricky switching between A4 and A3 paper, as there's only one paper tray, but that's not a big problem. The one thing I do not like is that the touch pad/control centre has a green light that continuously blinks off and on, 24 hours a day. This is not only unnecessary, but annoying.
