The sticky backing helped with initial placement, but it wouldn’t have help up by itself. This thing pivots around in every direction imaginable. It has a very compact design/doesn’t take up much space at all. Everything feels sturdy/well made. The faceplate cable went in at a tight angle, but I managed to get it in there with some fidgeting. Overall, very good product.
