Looks to be cheap white plastic and not brown Bakelite as in photo

It's PFTE not a cheap white plastic. It's a recent change Powerlink have made to their connectors to make them more durable for Australian conditions. Bakelite goes brittle overtime when exposed to heat in vehicles etc. We'll update the photos when I new range is launched.
