The 1st of the two variants worked, so must get around returning the 2nd variant to be changed back to the same wiring as the 1st variant, ready for 2nd phone that needs this. Many thanks

He sent the correct cable immediately, it works, I will post the other cable back to return address when I next go out, Monday. As we have gone digital and have received a free digital handset, the replacement cable will serve as a backup with my old phone in case the new one fails. Thank you.
