    Well written book on Atkins

    Easy to read and absorb the info on the diet. I would say that it definitely works for burning fat, however they probably should emphasize an overall upper calorie limit - some people take 'no limit' as permission to eat larger quantities than helpful. The sample weekly meals on Atkins website give a better sense of realistic amounts and portions. Still, really like the way the book explains the theory behind the diet, it is an important tool.

  • Appreciated the Meal Plans

    I skimmed much of the book, but really liked that it has meal plans for different levels of carbohydrate intake. Other books had recipes, but I needed help with looking at full days worth of food. There are recipes in the book and chapters on how to proceed on the ketogenic eating plan. I liked that it talks about the health improvements beyond weight loss with the ketogenic nutritional plan.
