    A real gem from Netgear.

    If you're looking for an ADSL router then you can't really go wrong with a DG834G. They have been around for years and are very reliable. Mine has been running 24/7 for 12 years now. The web interface is easy to use and has plenty of features. The only downside is if you want the latest WIFI standards they are too old for that, but given that a DG834G will cost you under £10 you can afford to buy a wireless acces point as well.

    Great classic modem

    ADSL 2+ and great classic wired modem. Really handy as a cheap reliable backup or for testing new lines (that's what I used it for). Nothing much more to say about this without repeating all the specs you can find on the netgear website. Worth noting though it has no wifi so don't epect a temporary wifi network just DSL. Classic modem that works with a wide compatibility to ISPs. Enjoy!

    Quality and simplicity in one

    Netgear have a reputation for producing quality gear. Although the DG834G is one of the early wireless versions of their routers it is sufficient for the small office or home network user. With the correct security settings you can make sure that you do not provide the whole street with a free wireless connection. If you are a stand alone user then one simple change in settings reverts it to a standard router. It is easy to set up and is frequently priced on EBay at a very competitive price. This machine is a lot better than some of the other major players in the market such as the BT routers I used to have.

    Compact & economic but setting up network can be tricky

    A neat & compact piece of kit. LED indicators easy to see. Took a while setting up because with my network the install disk did not seem to help. Eventually with the help of the seller we got it up & running. Since then it has worked fine.

    Really great bit of kit!

    This is the second netgear router I've had and from now on I'll always chose netgear for routers, had a d link one which was terrible - disconnections left right and centre, this netgear one is brilliant and never drops connection (Xbox live, pc, 2x iPhones, blu ray player & mac) all wireless and easy to set up! Very reliable, neat, sturdy and effective!
