Good starting point, much better after mods.
The TAZ 6 printer is an evolutionary step, providing strong electronics, commercial quality framework and generally admirable performance. That being said however, there are some (fixable) shortcomings that may drive away some customers: 1. The automatic leveling is prone to failure -- it assumes good electrical conductivity between the nozzle and four corner pads. This ignores the fact that the nozzle is often fouled with old burned plastic and other contaminants that make this hit-or-miss. 2. Some folks may like the fact that it is designed for 3mm filament (only). I don't, in fact I use 1.75 exclusively. 3. The z-axis leadscrew nuts often "whine", they need lubrication, something the factory doesn't do. 4. The spool holder is off to the side, necessitating the use of a teflon tube ... Check out Thingiverse (for example) to see one approach to fixing the leveling problem -- search for "BLTouch TAZ 6". We have four of these printers, all of which have been modified in various ways. They now are a mainstay of our lab. As shipped, not so much.

Great 3D printer by Creality, but was just rushed to get it out onto the market.
This machine is a great 3D printer by Creality. Although there are some big cons about this machine. -Extruder -Hotend -Bed and glue -Bowden tube placement All of these are the cons, the extruder is not really good, as you might be able to bend the gears easily, having it to lose traction which is what i heard from someone that had experience with this machine. The current hotend installed is just so fragile, as i already had mine clog up really bad. I upgraded to a better and newer hotend by Creality, though. And the bed and glue? Come on Creality, we're in the modern-days now and you still have a bed that needs glue? The bowden tube placement is also just really annoying too, as it just causes under-extrusion at the area where it feeds into the extruder, but that problem is easy to fix ... This machine is a great 3D printer by Creality. I recommend this you just need to buy a new hotend, perferably a Micro Swiss FlowTech Hotend for the K1/K1 Max at 64.99 USD. A newer extruder that Creality released which is better can be bought too if you want, along with a new bed. I currently have some upgrades done to my own 3D printer as well. Some that are from Creality are the upgraded hotend, AI camera, and the PEI golden textured bed too. It isn't a bad 3D printer at all. I love it now because of the upgrades that i have done. It'll work finally once you get it back up and working with a better and new hotend.

Functional and dynamic printer
The TAZ 6 uses many different materials and doesn't use any proprietary software. That creates a great environment to expand your choices and creativity. It comes with the 3d printer files for the printer parts, a tool kit, etc. Great buy.
