Pros + Tons of characters & powers to learn. + RPG from the Marvel universe. + Co-op & online play. Cons - A lot of Marvel characters either are not playable or M.I.A. Plus 2 characters less than PS3 version. - Fighting can tend to be repetitive. Comments This is only the beginning of games involving the entire Marvel Universe. Real time strategy will keep even an RPG hater interested enough to play through. There are only about 5 real CGI cutscenes and they look amazing. One of the biggest disappointment may be no Hulk or Punisher as well as a lot of other characters who won't be included. But most people will have their hands full trying to decide who to pick for their team anyway so it may be for the better. Verdict Must play for any fan of Marvel comics if not a must have title.
This is a game I was hearing alot of buzz on... so I had to check it out. Upon purchasing the game i was first impressed with the game graphics(for PS2) ... the gameplay is excellent ... there is a wide range of characters and the special moves of each charater will keep you impressed... The major objective of the game is to play as a team all the time..i.e at any time whether you are playing alone or with friends (1-4)...you always have four characters to play with(may get a little confusing as a one player ..until the moves of each hero on your team is learnt)...the game is quite consistent with its name MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE...hence it is a team of heroes you are playing with all the time. Again, once the moves of each hero is learnt... the action really begins at that point.. There are a wide range of heroes to intially choose from ...about 10... but afer you have unlocked all the characters ...the total is about 30.. One icon Marvel Character that bwas left out is THE HULK... but Dr. bruce Banner is Present...lol.. This GAme Is an Enjoyable ONe... and you have to play it to experience itRead full review
I find it very hard to give this a 5 of 5 simply because it would have to be pristine perfect in every way. If E-Bay had a decimal system it would have a 4.5 or 4.6 though. Pros: Most Heroes and Villains ever assembled in a video game....ever. Wonderful graphics. Many costumes covering all Marvels History. Really awe inspiring cut scenes. My favorite is the Asgard battle with Loki and the guards. Lots and lots of one liners from the characters you expect to have them (i.e. Deadpool, Spider-Man, Wolverine). Cons: Let down that the PS2 that revolutionized console gaming didn't receive one unlockable "special" character like the Wii/360 got. As of this review no content available download made available for the PS2 just X-360, and that's still in the works. Overall great game an a must have for the Super Hero fan in your family on any platform.Read full review
Plays well and came just as described. Thanks! I didn’t get it for me. I got it for my son. He loves it. He’s just getting into all the Marvel movies right now. So, he had to have the game. Mind you my son is 24! LOL! Had the game when he was like 13 and had me sell it cause he got mad at it when he couldn’t beat it. So, now I’m bugging him about it. 😂 LOL! I’m rolling!!!

written by Casey he is 8 Best part is that it is fun to knock heads graphics are really good controls are easy to use I like that you can make your own team on normal the game seems easy I like the powers you get to use such as, Wolvie's claw slash do not let the game auto set your powers!!!! do it yourself and load up your favorites I recommend buying this game should be played with friends and/or family
First off I really do like the game. I have played and beated the game in easy and normal. I have found most everything in the game and did not have to cheat. There are a few areas the first time I had to look on the net to know what to do in the game. Most everyone can find someone they like to play and make up high power teams. The game lets you play solo or with friends. You can even play online with friends on the ps2 system. Graphics are nice and very smooth. I had the game lock on me one time. I do have the slim series ps2. People can create a team and have the team itself become more powerful. You can earn more slots on the team to changeout with different people. The people you change out with do not start at level 1, they are the same as most of the team. Which is really nice so you do not have to level up everyone, just play with the ones you like the most and all the people gain levels. Will say at first in playing the game in normal it is a little hard to get Wolverine to be Wolverine, not much healing or anything of that nature :( but once you get him up in the levels he is unstopable. Pros: Most of the game can be figured out. Has many different things to do in the game which ups replay a lot. Many characters to play and villians to go against. Lots of history is told about many of the characters. Cons: Only can play 20 some characters. So many hidden items to find will cause lose of sleep. Characters start out very week and some comic book missions are very hard. Overall I like the game and will get it for other systems most likely.Read full review
There is a lot to like about Marvel Ultimate Alliance. Tons of characters, powers, unlockables, power-ups, and bonus missions. I love the costumes you can unlock and the different advantages of each. Beta Ray Bill? Scarlet Spider? Binary? Julia Carpenter as Spider Woman? Spider-girl? Those are costumes you can earn for some of the playable characters, but for someone who has followed them for years, these are whole different characters and make the game just that much cooler. I have Captain America from WW2 fighting alongside the classic red and yellow Iron Man, Beta Ray Bill, and Storm in her punked out mohawk getup. This is the same basic X-Men: Legends gameplay, but it all seems a little bigger and better to me. There are single-player missions you can find that range from kind of hard to incredibly tough and each of them earns you another costume for that character. The multi-player is up to 4 people and has the new twist of being either cooperative or competitive. I'm not sure what people are driving at when they say a game like this doesn't have a story. If they put too much dialogue in that would really slow things down and it would become a regular role-playing game instead of an action/adventure like it is. The story seems fine to me...Dr. Doom has a big plan and a bunch of allies, giving the heroes plenty of reason to travel to a number of cool places (and some really hot ones) to fight against a variety of well-known Marvel villains. I recommend the game to everyone. My 7-year-old son is playing through it with me and he's enjoying it too. He wants me to mention that he likes playing as Dr. Strange and using his magic to turn the enemies into crates.Read full review
This is the best superhero game ever made without a doubt. It is an incredibly deep, long game with lots of side (and "training") missions. There are so many cool charactors to use, it is hard for me to decide wich four to choose. Also, Each charactor has customisable power ups and all can use their specific comic book powers i.e. Invisible Woman can turn inbvisable and project shields, Iron Man can shoot a uni-beam, Cap can throw his shield, etc... If you are a fan of Marvel Comics this is a MUST own. Much better than Marvel Nemisis.
Love this game. If you can, get this game on xbox 360. It has extra characters and achievments, that'll have you playing for hours.

PS2-This game is too much fun,i have finished it three times so far, each time unlocking new skins, new heroes, upgrading powers. So much action and so much to do.It is pretty difficult but once you get the hang of it and learn how to use your super powers its just insane!! It is highly addictive as far as i am concerned, but well worth every splendid second of play.I have also played this game on Nintendo Wii..same action but alot easier to use your super powers.I like them both but prefer to play on PS2.
