Pretty thick, feels durable. I had a bed mat with the truck, but wanted a tailgate protector after the truck was painted. This fits perfectly on 1995 Tacoma and uses 8 of the 12 screws that hold the inner tailgate cover plate on. Covers top edge well, doesn’t interfere with tailgate closing, nice fit on a good feeling material. 5 minute install. Arrived quickly…. A+ and I’m picky.
