    The basic storyline: Two factions of aliens (not your typical humanoid type) come visit our planet, one set on the destruction of Earth and the other on salvation. The story involves the attempts by both factions to achieve their goals. The third player in this game, the human agents, can turn the tide one way or the other depending on their sucess or failure. Likes: If you like potential Earth-destruction stories you'll love this one. Very good reading, well written storyline and it keeps you wondering what will happen till the very end. Initially read it in high school and couldn't get it out of my head. Dislikes: Some parts are confusing, i.e. you can't understand the relevance of some portions, but it all comes together in the end and in the 2nd book. Overall: I personally love ...
