About this product

Product Information

From the printed pages of Fireman Press comes Scud: The Disposable Assassin. In a world gone mad, assassin robots are easily hired through handy-dandy vending machines -- -and you're one of them, a skinny banana-yellow droid named Scud. Assassin robots are programmed to self-destruct after the termination of your latest target, so you merely maimed your quarry, and now he rests in terminal condition; you've gotta find the cash to keep him from dying, and to do that, it's time to grab your dual magnums and work as a hitman.

It's side-scrolling, blasting mayhem on your Sega Saturn, with either one or two players. When playing with two players, the second player controls Scud's sidekick Drywall. Tired of making Scud walk about with the joypad? Then plug in a Sega Stunner gun and start blasting away at the screen!

  • Not that bad not that good.

This game could have been a lot better but Instead it made it about average. Don’t get me wrong it a good game, but I would have to rate it two times as it is a light gun game as well as a side scroller As far as side scroller I think it a good game because it has a lot of action. Lots of bad guys popping out trying to kill you, you can play with a friend right by your side or he can use a light gun or you can be the one using the gun. The levels are from the comics so you will be happy if you’re a fan & if your not you still might like that they look cool. Back ground is done very well. Also the music goes well with the game & I like that. With one light gun the game is so darn hard it can make you go crazy!! With two guns it more fun and you go crazy but in a good way. It is so fun that ...

  • Scud: The Disposable Assassin (Sega Saturn)

Well how do i start,i live in the united kingdom and im a sega saturn owner (sad i know) but i bought this game having seen screenshots and reviews on the internet and i liked what i saw therefore i decided to buy it. i have had it now for 24 hours and both myself and my hubby have played it for at least 6 of those hours. the gameplay is a cross between a platformer and an shooter with puzzle elements in there. my hubby having been a games player for over 20 years got me into the saturn and i now look for games that are hard to find, rare or were never released over here (like this one).it might be basic looking at first but considering its running on 12+ year old console it soon had us hooked, give it go you wouldn't regret it.

  • This Scud crashed and burned. . .

Back in the mid 90's, Sega had a system called the Saturn and it failed miserably. One of the reasons it failed was the games for it. Scud had the potential to be a great game that bridged genres however it didn't do anything that well. The graphics and sounds were decent but the play was bad. I bought this game when it came out based on potential but haven't touched it in 10 years due to the dismal play experience. I would recommend this game only to collectors (like me) who have to have every game for the Saturn but if you are looking for something fun to play, especially something where you get to shoot stuff, give this a pass.

  • This game is a real hidden gem. Uses the Saturn capability to the max a must own for any Saturn playa

  • Scud review

This was a cool game I played when I was younger so it was great to obtain. It's an interesting shooter, a mix of first and third person shooting to funky tracks while blasting a sega style array of odd things to kill. It is very arcade like you will be hurt often but you can tough it out until life appears. You also get full life after beating the level. I love the game for its very imaginative seens of gore and crazy villians like the one with a plug for a face. The story line is pretty funny and anyone who likes funny with there death should enjoy the disposeable assassin SCUD.
