Rolled off Highs and bass that was lacking.
I ended up returning the Audiolab 6000cdt because as a source, the bluesound node 2i outperformed the Audiolab. The highs were rolled off and the bass was lacking. The tone and soundstage were excellent. I’ll be trying the cambridge CXC next.

Giant killer cd transport!
replaced a $1000 cd player with this transport, using the same dac. much better bass, better sound stage, just a huge improvement! for the money, doubt if you can beat it!

Tried to prove it wouldn’t!
That’s right, I tried to get it to skip. Not track a cd. Much to our amazement, I could not! I took it to the extreme. 100 grit sand paper to the disc, in two directions! Not only did it sound great while doing, it played the disc from beginning to end. I do recommend that you change the rather lame power cord. Sound quality will improve. Check out MCRU for cables You’ll be glad you did.

A big step up in sound quality
The unit makes it seem like a have lots of new CDs. I am finding myself listening to discs I was luke warm on and really liking them now.
