  • Representing the So So

Representing the Mambo is not the best work of this Texas band. Originally recorded in 1992, it does have a couple of good tracks. "Texas Twister" is a pretty good rock tune and the only track to get any radio play. "Rad Gumbo" attempts to sound Zeideco and doesn't quite pull it off, but it is very catchy and stays in your head for a while ofter it is finished. The title track, along with several others sound very much alike to most except dedicated fans. "Those Feat'll Steer Ya Wrong" is fun to listen to, especially if you are from Texas and know about Texas geography. The band sings about being stopped on the highway by a Texas Ranger during a World Tour of Texas. Overall, a good buy for real fans of Little Feat, otherwise you are buying the cd to hear 3 or 4 songs.

  • Better than expected

3 good cuts on album: Texas Twister, Representing the Mambo (suprisingly likeable), but Lowell would have loved "Feats'll Steer you Wrong Sometime"! The Feat will always be one of the most underrated bands of the last 60 years. Glad I added it to my Feat collection.

  • Great

Great Little feat CD. Title track is a classic example of how talented the guys continue to be ..even without Lowell George. Great musical variation and scope. Pleasure to listen to. Wide range of musical styles

  • Great cd

One of little feats later cd that is gtreat

  • Representing the Mambo

The first time I heard this, I could not believe it was Little Feat. The almost etheral sound suprised me. Top notch musicians, great music. My wife, who is a dance teacher, and not really a Feat fan, was suprised at how the music moved and flowed, a different sound for them. A must in my collection.
