I must preface my comments with the fact that the seller of this vintage Italian Ruffoni saucepan did represent the item exactly as it is. That being said, it is a piece that is very worn and unusable for cooking until the interior is re-tinned, because the protective tin lining has worn through to the copper beneath. Copper is a toxic metal when ingested. The seller was transparent with the description, and it will be usable after re-tinning. I feel that I bought a great piece at a fair price.
