The purchase was an antique piece, covered with EBay authentication. Despite the fact that the materials tested correctly EBay were unable to certify as the piece is not hallmarked as is often the case with antique jewellery. No fault of the seller and seems to be a flaw with the authentication process. The seller kept in touch throughout, and the item arrived well packaged and within 24 hours which is superb this close to Christmas. A very happy experience all in all.
