IF you need magnesium hydroxide to make magnesium bicarbonate mineral water, buy something else. This particular stuff is practically insoluble, and just remains as a yellowish sludge after several days, with virtually no change in pH. Comparing it to other sources which dissolve readily in cold soda water within an hour or two to yield mag. bicarb. at a pH of around 8.2, one has to wonder what it really is?
