Printer companies always twist your arm to make you buy their OEM ink, threatening to void your warranty if you don't. They do this because they make their money on the ink after practically giving away the printers. Off-brand ink manufacturers sell compatible ink for 1/10 the cost, so it's very tempting to use them instead. My experience with non-OEM has been sometimes good, sometimes bad. Non-OEM red ink sometimes comes out orange, and non-OEM ink in refilled OEM cartridges jammed my printer so badly I had to replace it with a new one after only 6 months. However, even the OEM ink doesn't always work right. I've had several original Epson ink cartridges fresh out of the box give me the error message " the printer does not recognize the ink cartridge". Epson needs to make ink cartridges that work as well as the off-brands if they expect people to pay their ridiculous prices (which work out to about $6,000.00 per gallon - and you thought gasoline was high!).Read full review

I really decided that I would only buy XL’s because they lasted longer and by purchasing these it made a difference. This purchase was a good deal.
