1st Class Seller! This mask is extremely rare and hard to find. I finally found 1 and worried that it would get ruined in shipping, it's very fragile. The Seller packed it perfectly and it arrived mint! Thank you..

I will stick to Panasonic for these type units.

This unit is a very simple to use player/recorder. Using DVD-RAM puts little strain on the recording as it writes and not burn to this format. Though there are those who have stated it was complicated must not know it is one of the easier Panasonic's to use. As with ANY electronic equipment it does need maintenance to keep it clean which is explained in the manual, and proper handeling of the Disk used. Panasonic made the best ones, IMO, as I have had others with major problems for only a short periods of time.

    Disappointed

As a dvd player it worked okay, but I wanted to record movies from my direct tv dvr onto a dvd disk, so I ran the dvr through the dvd recorder, but after hours and hours all I could get was sound, but no picture... I hired a guy from a computer store to come to my house and even he could not get it to work... I gave it to a friend, she just wanted a dvd player.

  • A great Prosumer product but too complex for straight viewing and recording

As many have pointed out, eventually the servo that moves the laser reader mechanism goes out and there are no replacement parts. Every time you insert a different format disc, the mechanism has to detect the new format, so the lifespan will be extended if you are only using one format type (or if 2, not switching back and forth too often). If you know your work entails many format types, you are better off with a CD-ROM drive. Also, if you are using often, keep a backup remote on hand because the buttons are known to become intermittent and all functions are driven off the remote. The advantage of this and like consoles is to have recorder, editor, menu creator and burner all in one console without having to go thru a lengthy multi-software process or connect bulky home computer ...

  • YES!

We currently had a DMR-ES25 and desperately needed another to perform multiple recording of live events. Although this unit did not come with a remote control, our existing unit's remote worked well with this one. We had received it on a Friday and used it two days later successfully. We love this Panasonic model and recommend it for live recording.

  • Panasonic DMR-ES25 DVD Recorder is a great machine!

I bought this to replace my older unit (same model) that had performed wonderfully with constant use (at least 20 hours a week) for over 5 years. This one works equally well. I've used four other models - all by Panasonic and all that had worked very well - but this is by far my preference.
