      Didn't like when it first came out or a second reading decades later

      One thing blew me away was the countries that pulled the world into madness in this Cold War novel are the same ones you hear on the news today. Too much of the book is exhausted in developing characters.

      Alas, Babylon. Apocalyptic book on Nuclear war in the 50's,

      Replacement for a book I have had for 40 years. Read it so many times pages were falling out. Book is from the 50s and very dated, but still good reading.
