    Homedics Sound Machine

    This is a very nice sound machine. It has 6 sounds to choose from. A timer that has 15min, 30min, or 60min you can choose. It also just runs if you want it on all the time. It can be plugged in or it can run on batteries. The power cord does come with it. Has good volume control. It's dimensions are around 6inx6inx2in. It is a good little sound machine. If you need a very loud fan to sleep, I would get 2 of these. It is loud, but not as loud as a 24in industrial fan.

    Very cheaply put together and does not drown any noise

    I made a big mistake buying this name brand. I was being cheap, I would not recommend it to people who share my specific feelings The product is cheaply made. I am glad I did not spend too much money on this product. The labeling for different sounds is not really authentic. The sounds of waterfall and Rain is the same very mundane. The next one that is similar is Rain forest and summer the chirps of the birds is awful for the years. Now why would anyone want the sound of heartbeat? I get this sound naturally quiet often do not need this to drown out the noise. It sadly did not meet even basic standard for me, as it only added to the noise I was drowning out. If your purpose is just to have noise than it works okay I guess.

    very helpful gadget

    My husband was very pleasantly surprised how well this sound spa works. I saw one in the Quest labs and decided to try it. It has a very handy feature with auto-shut down after 15, 30, or 60 minutes, which is very helpful. The volume range is exceptional and there are six types of sound to choose (thunder, ocean, brook, summer night, rain, and white noise). We like the ocean waves. I bought 2 and I am giving one to my brother. I think he will like and use it too. I will buy more of these for other family members.

    Well, it's okay...

    I kinda hear a weird mechanical sound, either in the recording or the machine itself, frankly I think my floor fan works much better for white noise and is smoother sounding.Youtube has some good white noise videos that really relaxed me and drowned out noisy neighbors. I do like the summer night setting it has chirping crickets and the stream/ running water is nice. I find I don't stay on one setting and switch between them. Just wish the sound were smoother and more even, it would work better to drown out outside noises.

    Great for outside my office

    Our office walls are super thin, and when I need to have a confidential call, I have this located right outside my office door to create a screen of white noise. It comes with an AC adapter, so it's easy to plug in.
