The graphics are outstanding and the the game play smooth. But the story has room for improvement it has gaps in the story and meaningless dialog unless you are vary young in which case you should not be playing the game. I do hope the next halo game has a better dialog to match the story. despite this the game is vary fun to play as a co-op team in campaign and the mulity player so to me it is well worth the money and time.

Granted I have not completed the game yet. But I’d say I’m a third of the way through, and it doesn’t live up to the title “Halo 5.” If this was simply “Halo: Guardians,” it’s fine, but this doesn’t feel like a true fifth game. It feels like a spin off. Half of the game so far is dedicated to a separate character of a new team. That’s fine for games like ODST (which I similarly don’t like the number in that title, but there is a real Halo 3; there is no “real” Halo 5). When I play the main games of Halo, I expect Master Chief, not Sergeant Locke - a fine character on his own, but not what I came here for. Plus... there are spoilers which break the canon of the entire preceding franchise that I won’t go into. Gameplay wise it’s very fun, it’s very intuitive, plenty of entertainment. But the story brings down my personal enjoyment a lot. I’m here for the story, playing the game is actually secondary for a casual gamer like myself. In that regard, I feel disappointed in Halo 5, and I adored Halo 4, which was divisive itself, to say the least. But if you approach this is just any other shooter, here to play and nothing else, this will be loads of fun for you. And from what I remember several years ago, the multiplayer is quite good - again, not story based. That’s what it boils down to: what do you want from this game?Read full review

If you're an old campaigner like I, you might've heard disparaging things about this entry and may have some reservations. Firstly, the "4 hour campaign" reports are an abject lie. Unless you're playing four person co-op on "Easy," this is no four hour undertaking, it's a fully fledged Halo game that honors the series in every way. It's fairly obvious that multiplayer was the focus, as the radar and scope zoom have been cut in half at least (leading to some pretty irritating situations), but once you get the hang of it, it works pretty well. Yes, Jackals now scream in Muppet English and Prometheans taunt similarly, but when you get past the "Borderlands" plastic/everything glows aspect, the whole thing feels very canon, and that old CE sensibility comes back. A ton of care has been put into this and I'd rate it as slightly better than the dry, compromised feel of 4. Give its campaign a chance. As for the multiplayer experience, I leave that to the young people. Read full review

Graphics and Story are pretty Awesome.. I didn't play the multiplayer parts of the game but I did finished the Co-op campaign with a few friends.. It doesn't have as much content as Halo 4 (such as Spartan Ops) but I still loved it. I had seen some people complaining about the Campaign being "too short" However, IMO this is not true. It is plenty long, enough. If you can find a good deal on it... Get it! You won't be disappointed. After all, it's Halo!

I really did hate the changes at first (faster online play, sprint, rocket boost). But as you "get over it" and actually put some time into the game, these changes makes this game way more fun. The weapon balance, recoil, and sound effects are the best Ive ever seen. Halo has a "Zombies" online mode you can just select and play online, among all the other notable variations like "Griefball".

Not the best game in the Halo franchise but this game does deliver some cool moments and features tight gameplay. It's nothing to write home about but I would recommend to anyone who loves Halo.

Love the game but I can't play split screen with my grandsons like the Halo games before this one. I'm pretty bummed by that and my grandsons (your near future purchasing gamers) have moved onto other games. Yes, I should have done more research before buying a one player game and I will with the next Halo if there is one. I own all the Halo games and thought that this one would also have the split screen option.

Halo 5 isn't quite a mind-blowing, but relatively entertaining game in the Halo franchise. The game includes new features akin to those from the Call of Duty series, like sprinting and close aiming, which are first included in a Halo game. Graphics are fantastic for the amount of actions taking place almost every moment. Nothing special about the game to take it to a new level, but it's must have for any Halo fan or any first person shooting fan. The game is a thriller nonetheless.

I am or was a huge fan of the halo series until Halo 5. There is no way to play the campaign or live with two or more people on the same console. I bought this and a new xbox one for Xmas and what a huge disappointment. Not only does it hurt to have to shell out all that money for the console, game, extra controller, live membership, but it is a kick in the nuts that they pulled this crap. I called microsoft support because there had to be a mistake and the rep told me it was in fact true and that he too thought it was a really stupid move on their part. I have decided to sell the whole xbox one setup and game because of this greed and stupidity. We will be going over to the PS4
