Based on a true story, THE GHOST AND THE DARKNESS takes place in Africa during the late 1890s and concerns two ferocious lions who killed 130 railroad construction workers in only two months. A pair of courageous men, no-nonsense engineer John Patterson (Val Kilmer) and rugged hunter Charles Remington (Michael Douglas), set out to shoot the creatures, known as the Ghost and the Darkness. Making their task even harder is the two animals un-lionlike behavior--they kill in tandem, attack in the daylight, and show no fear of anything. Soon the hunters become the hunted....

    A good movie at a great price.

    I purchased this movie on DVD from another online website and a feiend of mine moved away and took it with her. I went to ebay looking to see if I could find another copy. Not only did I find the movie but the price was a fraction of the price that I had previously paid on the other website. This is a true and amaizing story of two lions that hunted and tormented the human population of a africian work crew. The english leader of this crew killed the lions and they are on display at the Chicago museum.

    The Ghost and the Darkness

    I decided to purchase the above movie because I had just returned from a business trip to Chicago and saw the actual lions from the movie at the Field Museum. I had seen the movie earlier, but decided to purchase the movie to see it again. The movie was new still in the wrapper.
