Product Information

The Health Ministry of Theme World needs an administrator to run their Hospitals. They have had some difficulty finding the right person for the job, because some of the ailments suffered by potential patients are rather odd. Diagnoses such as Bloaty Head, Transparency, King Complex and Hairyitis are common, and the well-staffed Hospital will have to employ Doctors with adequate skills to diagnose and cure these diseases, as well as have the specialized equipment needed to treat them on-site.<br><br>However, Doctors and equipment are not all that the successful administrator will have to consider. Receptionists need to be present to queue patients to the right rooms. Handymen must be employed to water the plants and clean up any Vomit Waves that break out, and to repair any Boilers that break down. Prices for diagnosis and treatment must be set competitively, and drugs must be researched to advance medical treatments. In addition, the administrator must plan the layout of the entire Hospital, purchasing and constructing new rooms as needed, and supplying them with the necessary machinery and creature comforts to attract new patients to the facility.<br><br>If successful, the administrator will go on to plan a new Hospital, with access to new facilities and machinery used to treat the over 30 strange diseases he will encounter throughout the game. If unsuccessful, the administrator can expect to be dismissed in poverty and disgrace.

    Theme Hospital: Sold Out Games

    This is a rare, hard to find game now adays. I found it for a great price and got it shipped within the week. I had problems installing it on XP. After countless hours of fiddling and reading forums, I found that in order to run the game on XP, you must copy the Hosp folder from your CD to your hard drive. Hopefully you drive is named . All you do is right click Hosp, hit copy, then go to the C drive and paste it there. If you hard drive is not named C, you may have to change the save game path to your drive letter. That can be done by looking in the saves and then the text file for it. It is possible to play with out copying the folder, but you cannot save the game unless this is done. I hope this review helps people trying to get the game to work.

    Theme Hospital (PC) --Addicting!

    Theme Hospital is an addictive game that gives you the job of chief of a hospital. You must build diagnoses and treatment rooms, hire/fire staff as needed, keep staff members and patients happy and handle epidemics. The graphics, compared to current standards, are low-quality. You have to remember that this game is old (mid 90's I believe). The graphics do not take away from the gameplay. This game has a very high replay value. Once you complete a level, you may progress on to the next job and start a new hospital or stay at the hospital you're at and continue running it. I would recommend this game to someone looking for a new addiction. If you're into strategy/simulation games, give this one a try.

    Very fun game

    This game is very fun, even after playing it for years. The game does not get old and it is lots of fun taking care of staff and patients in the hospital. The game also is challenging, with also helps with this game being fun.

    Great game, doesn't work so well on Vista

    I have Windows Vista, it works fairly well most days. But I have to constantly save in order not to lose my game. I am not complaining too much, the game did come out ten years ago.
