  • OIL -- OWLS

I only purchased this album for the OWLS track "We are the Owls." I wanted it to further complete my OWLS collection. Honestly, I didn't really listen to the other tracks. But, I must say that the OWLS are amazing... Victor is, hands down, one of the greatest, most original guitarists of all time. Tim is Tim... vocally charismatic. Sam has his moments, and Ryan is great at hitting stuff. I wish Mike was on the track, though. He's one of my favorite drummers. Everyone should check out the OWLS self titled album.

  • Chicago punk

An interesting look into the early 2000's Chicago punk scene. I got it because of the Owls and The City On Film tracks (two of the better songs on the album). Not surprisingly, the CD listens a lot like Polyvinyl's 'Direction' compilation from the 90's. If nothing else, any Owls fan would be glad to hear "We are the Owls."
