Overall a positive experience but the server packaging could be improved some, especially the exterior padding material. One of the metal rack ear was snapped off the chassis during transit, which then also bent the front metal frame around the 2.5" drive bays. Not a huge deal for me, but some better packaging materials could be used for padding inside the box instead of wadded-up paper. Otherwise the item was exactly as described and in good working order. Would still recommend this seller.

    Hitachi hard drive

    I bought 6 of these drives a while ago to build a RAID5 set. The Hitachi drives have an excellent reputation for reliability and they perform great in my system. They are fast and quiet and don't generate a lot of heat. I recently bought 3 more of these as spares so I can keep the RAID set at full performance as disks eventually fail many years in the future. Great product and great price on eBay.

    Hitachi 0A30229 (400 GB, Serial ATA, 8 MB) Hard Drive

    Works fine so far with light usage. Trust in Hitachi quality. Medium-large storage capacity. Read-write speed and SATA interface. Reasonable price.
