item appears to be as shown and described. box was undamaged when arrived but item was packaged in non-original train car package which it didn't fit in securely. Item was rattling in box (maybe just wheels) when arrived. Would have preferred secure wrapping and cushioning

I received this rod and after opening the tube in came in I discovered that 3 of the guides had came off during shipping. Looking at the wraps it became clear that the wraps were dry rotted and had broken during shipment.
I contacted the seller and they quickly agreed to a return and full refund. The rod, blank and the label, were in great condition otherwise. I decided to keep the rod and have it rewrapped.
Seller still gave me a partial refund. It will be a beautiful rod once finished.
