Excellent Movie.
What a powerful movie. The story and actors portray strength and resolve to do the right thing, also showing their humanity and moments of fear and sadness. I recommend this movie to anyone wanting to know more back stories about WWII Nazi Germany and the resistance. I knew only a little about The White Rose Resistance.

Courage in the face of evil. A story of Good verses Evil......inspiring!!!!
I wasn't sure that I would like this movie, since it was filmed in the German language. I don't usually watch movies that I have to read the subtitles on, but this was the exception!!! I could not stop watching. What a fantastic story of principle, courage and conviction. The extra features that were on this disc were equally interesting. There was a feeling that the film maker was after accuracy in the story line and the actors played their roles with much passion and conviction. Highly recommend to any history buff, especially those interested in WWII stories.I wasn't sure that I would like this movie, since it was filmed in the German language. It Feels Like Real Life, Not Entertainment
What a story! The characters come to life, the tension brings up your pulse. Even though produced by an atheist, the main character's faith and belief in God is made plain. Highly recommended!

I bought this movie because I am interested in the theories and methods of the fascists. There is a neo-fascist revival going on in Europe and people need to be aware of the great evil involved with these people. They are just as bad as the Communists in Soviet Russia. Sophie Scholl and the others in her group, The White Rose, ultimately made a difference even though many of them were imprisoned or lost their lives. The movie was grim, but the dark tone was necessary to show what life in Nazi Germany was really like. The movie was hopeful at the end because it showed that the individual can triumph against the state if they keep in mind certain values and do not lose hope.I bought this movie because I am interested in the theories and methods of the fascists. A moving, chilling and outstanding movie
This movie is a rarity: a war movie without violence,yet the tension and the threat of it is always there. I bought it because I am an avid student of World War 2, and I had known about Sophie Scholl since I was a child. I wanted to know why she did what she did, knowing full well that she was risking execution. The movie did not disappoint. The characterisations were outstanding and very moving. One can only admire her, her brother and friend who protested against the Nazis, stood up against interrogation and a swift trial.
