Reviews
"With CARRY FIRE, Plant enters into a forum of deep reflection, ruminating on where he’s been and what h"e’s felt and seen. He balances those songs of times remembered with cautionary ballads about the future...", "Plant’s knack for a heroic posture remained potent -- as did his sentimental streak, represented by a duet on 'Bluebirds Over The Mountains' with Chrissie Hynde.", "There are slight touches of former band Led Zeppelin on opening track ‘The Mary Queen’, a stomping acoustic number that sees Plant in reflective mood, crooning softly over an experimental folk tinged backing from touring band the Sensational Shapeshifters."

I was half convinced this was a scam due to the price, but it came through in perfect condition, English language, well packaged. Was 2 days later than expected, but the store owner emailed me to explain why it was late and provided updated tracking. 5/5 I will use this seller again in the future.

    Carry Fire

This album isnt as good as Lullaby and the Ceaseless Roar. Plant uses Liam Skin Tyson on guitar and Tabla giving an Indian feel to the music, whereas Lullaby has an African feel. Plants' vocals are very good , sometimes a bit haunting and strained but I guess he was on Led Zep 2. Bit like a fine malt - mellowed with age.

  • Fine new album

Another wowzer from the prolific Robert Plant who continues on his musical journey with this collection of original songs and one cover 0 Bluebirds Over The Mountain. If you like his music you will not be disappointed.

  • poor recording quality

In my estimation the recording quality is poor with a muddy sound, lack of directional definition and 'clipping' distortion. Most people would probably be OK with it for me this poor recording quality dominates, and spoils, the CD. A modern recording should be better than this.
