Scientist Zac Hobson (a powerhouse performance by Bruno Lawrence of Frontline) awakens to discover that he may be the last man on earth. Homes, highways and entire cities are deserted, every living thing has disappeared.     Possible future

    I am reminded of Jeff Goldblum's character when he said, "Yeah, yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could that they didn't stop to think if they should. " Because the whole film is about the aftermath of an experiment that possibly shouldn't have been allowed. The main character Zac Hobson, played brilliantly by Bruno Lawrence, is in fact one of the scientists who created the problem in the first place. He does what he can to make amends but only after he shows some disturbing behaviour and also discovers that he is not as alone as he first thought. It really is worth watching because it's not your typical 'end of the world' scenario.
