However you can clearly see evidence of thermal paste that was over applied and ended up on mulitple edges of the underside of CPU pins. Cleaned off and CPU works as expected.. Being a few years old the value of the 5700x3d is holding it's worth.

It had thermal paste residue on the sides and a stamp on face. The price is close enough to others advertised as used so its not a big deal, but its still marked as new when it clearly isn't.

There was some kind of symbol stamped on the lid of the CPU, presumably a watermark or something; fraud prevention, I guess, but annoying because I couldn't test the CPU without first cleaning the lid with alcohol and putting thermal paste on it, so if it had turned out to not work, that could have been an issue. Anyway, works great, identifies properly as a legit 5700x3d.

It was shipped in a static shielding bag, but besides for that, the motherboard had no packing materials inside the box, which was an extremely thin cardboard box. Package came extremely quick (quickest one ever on eBay) and packaged nicely. Some scuffs on the cpu, but I am pretty sure those are due to assembly and manufacturing rather than prior use, and the product is indeed new.
