    Cool but clunky & expensive

    The Hue Play Bars are expensive, yes...but they work seamlessly with the Hue bridge. Unfortunately the bridge does not come with the lights and must be purchased separately. The lights can stand alone or be attached to the back of the television with 3M adhesive. I used the adhesive which is very, very strong. Be sure about placement before committing. The lights are somewhat clunkier from what I was expecting, but the light output is excellent. I would recommend purchasing 3 lights for an all around the tv halo effect. These would make a great gift for anyone into the ambient light trend. I recommend.

    Play Bar review

    I bought a 2-pack of these light bars from tech-rabbit and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I purchased these lights with the hue starter kit including a bridge and 4 color ambiance bulbs. Once I installed the bulbs and hub and found where I was going to put my play bars (back of TV), which took all of 15 minutes after I opened the boxes, they all needed software updates. No big deal I set my phone down and let it do it’s thing. I couldn’t be happier with the steal I found on the lights and how well they perform! I’ll definitely be buying more for my set up.

    A used/refurbished Hue light is indistinguishable from a new one

    Works like a dream, as all Philips Hue products do. Although expensive, this is a much more reasonable price than the $129 the manufacturer charges new. I’ve bought various Hue products from several sellers, and I’ve yet to encounter a malfunctioning, unusable light — or luminaire, to use Hue’s uppity word.

    Fun product but can get pricey very quick. If you have a large tv like (85") you may want to purchase multiple sets to get the full effect. Would love is Phillips Hue offered articulating recessed ceiling lights to complete the effect.
