  • Not what iIexpected

The regulator I received had been disassembled or was not assembled right at the manufacture. After I installed the regulator, I had an air leak around the top of the regulator body, and the regulator would not regulate the air pressure properly. Upon futher investigation, I found the four screws that hold the top and botton plate in place loose. I removed the bottom plate and found the square seal installed wrong. After making the necessary changes and tighting all screws I was able to use the regulator. I don't know if this regulator had been used previously or if it was not assembled properly when manufactured therefore I am making not negative comments about the seller.

I have spent lots of time on my mac5200 changing out parts. From the start the regulator never worked, the regulator gauge would follow the tank gauge, or it would leak air from the cap. Such a pain! So.. I paid the $70 for the oem regulator part and it works perfectly. What I learned in this whole experience = Rather than wasting time with after market, buck up and buy oem. It's triple the price, but it will work unlike the aftermarkets, much less hassle. I wish I would have bought oem parts from the start.
