A veritable feast of fun from the golden age of British cinema, Ladies Who Do is a witty reminder that one person's trash may prove to be another's treasure. When resourceful office cleaner Mrs. Cragg (Peggy Mount, Oliver!) saves a discarded cigar from one of her clients and offers it over to another, a whole new business opportunity presents itself. Wrapped up in a crumpled telegram destined for the waste bin, it is not only the cigar that is accepted with appreciation, but also the confidential information within the telegram, which offers a lucrative little dividend to be made on the stock market. Buoyed by her fledgling business success she enlists the help of her hard working colleagues (Dandy Nichols, Miriam Karlin and Avril Elgar) to clean up the offices and take on the city boys and the bureaucrats at their own game. Also featuring Robert Morley (The African Queen), Ron Moody (Oliver!)and Jon Pertwee (Dr.Who), Ladies Who Do is a winning combination of comedy, charm and upholding that old chestnut - 'waste not want not'.
