The Maxent 42-inch TV has a plasma screen with a resolution of 852x480 for a quality picture. The Maxent MX-42VM7 has a contrast ratio of 550:1 while the aspect ratio is 16:9, well above the standard ratios. This plasma TV is capable of displaying 16.7 million colors. This allows pictures to be brighter and better when viewing. There are many ports on the Maxent 42-inch TV that can be used to combine multiple media devices for better use out of the Maxent MX-42VM7. Should the user desire to connect a game system to the plasma TV, he or she would simply plug it in to one of these ports. A camcorder can also be plugged in for better viewing of videos. The Maxent 42-inch TV uses 350 watts of power and weighs 68.8 lbs. The TV features both closed captioning and PIP for viewers who prefer this. There are two speakers located on each side of the TV for optimal sound and for optimal viewing, there is a 160-degree viewing angle on this TV.
