    Nice anode rod.

    When it arrived, I thought the box was small. After opening, I could see how it was packed in a small box, and was impressed that it was a full size rod. I hung it up in my shed, and I was able to straighten the segments so it was close to vertical. There is not a lot of clearance above my water heater, but it went in the tank easily, and the fitting that screws in is heavy duty, and has the raised bump on top that indicates the rod is magnesium. The anode rod appears to be a quality rod and should last a long time,but I will still check after 2 years.

    Extend the life of my water heater with anode rods every 3 years. It is better than changing water heater.

    Time will tell how effective the anodes work, but they appear to be excellent quality. 3 of my 4 water heaters have plastic caps on top, confusing. I just removed the caps and dug out the foam insulation, removed the old rod and installed the new. These inexpensive rods should extend my water heaters by years. I am really tired of replacing water heaters.
