    Classic Wartime Movie

    This movie is entertaining for it's characters and quirks although superficial and unbelievable. The main character is very awkward in his role. The ignorance and self-absortion of the opposing military antagonists is comical. It is a glaringly transparent depiction of of a solider divergent to the antagonists. On first viewing it would be a movie you may consider watching again for light entertainment. It is a movie to put on when you need to leave the room. There is no suspense or mystery to the plot, you won't miss anything. The method of exchange of "classified information" is to similar to "Dark Journey" made six years earlier a higher quality movie, better plot and character development, Purchase this instead.

    Cairo

    Early film from Billy Wilder with superb cast, script and direction. Wonderful score by the great Miklos Rozsa. A real winner. Great addition to my DVD library.
