Synopsis
Tor is proud to launch the first novel in this amazingly imaginative and thought provoking video game universe that looks deep into the origins of humanity and of a vast onslaught of horrifying creatures known as necromorphs...The Church of Unitology begins with Michael Altman, a geophysicist who discovered a mysterious signal emitting from deep within the Chicxulub crater. He and his girlfriend Ada lead an excavation team to the underwater crater, determined to find the source of the baffling message. But what they discover possessed a mysterious power. Close proximity to the stone caused strange occurrences: visions of the dead, vivid dreams, and violent murders. When Michael secretly obtains a small piece of the marker, he brings these visions to the world above. One message from the Marker was clear: Prove yourself worthy of eternal life, or the slate will be wiped clean on Earth. This is how the Dead Space mythos all began - how one man's discovery formed the foundations of an unfathomable future., The first novel in the multi-million dollar video game franchise Dead Space When geophysicist Michael Altman hears of the mysterious signal emitted from deep within the Chicxulub crater, he can not resist the lure of an undiscovered artifact. With his girlfriend Ada, he joins a team excavating the underwater crater, determined to find the source of the baffling message. The artifact, named "The Black Marker," possesses a mysterious power. Close proximity to the stone causes strange occurrences: visions of the dead, vivid dreams, and violent murders. When Michael secretly obtains a small piece of the marker, he too begins to dream. The Black Marker has chosen him to hear his message: You need to prove yourself worthy of eternal life, or the slate will be wiped clean on Earth. This is the story of the origin of "The Black Marker," the foundation of the Church of Unitology, and a discovery that will change the world.

This seller couldn't have been better! She answered my questions promptly, sent me photos I requested and when the book arrived, on time, not only was it in excellent condition, but she had packaged it better than any item I can ever remember receiving in my many years of purchasing on Ebay! She also worked with me wonderfully on the price of the book that I purchased and there is not enough good that I can say about this seller! Thank you and please feel totally positive about any purchase! :-)

A brand new sealed CD box set was purchased and shipped on 3-13 and delivered by USPS Media Mail on 3-18. Item received was as described and pictured in the listing and was professionally packed for protection. Set was placed in a plastic sleeve to protect shrinkwrap, then sandwiched between two pieces of cardboard, then wrapped in large bubblewrap before being secured in a padded envelope. The care in packing, seller's acceptance of offer, and fast shipping made for an excellent purchase.

Cool prequel, easy read, & engaging. Has it's own intensity & shines a light on Unitology origins that took me by surprise. I wasn't expecting much from a videogame novel, but this grabbed me & wouldn't let go til convergence was near. ;P
