    Just Your Basic Giant Spider Movie

    Spiders 3D was filmed in Bulgaria (!), where fairly realistic sets of New York City were recreated. A USSR spacecraft is struck by meteors, crashing into the N.Y. subway, and unleashing giant spiders (no explanation how the spiders survived the heat of reentry). The CGI spiders run amuck, the U.S. military wants their silk, and the courageous subway worker battles the giant arachnids. While the movie director said the film was originally shot in 3D, it is most likely post-production converted to 3D. The 3D effects are just average (for a converted movie), few real “Pop-Outs”, but fairly decent depth perception. All in all, not much here folks.

    Great 3D Good Movie

    Better than I expected. Low budget 3D movies have much better in your face 3D than most blockbuster movies do, currently. When I was a kid 60 years ago you ducked when thing came of the screen, I jumped when they came of the screen in this movie, jumped, the name of the movie is Spiders 3D. The story holds up as well, no make that better than most of the monster movies. Character development is good and is integral to the plot.
