Seller notes: “Carob Diamond Co presents one Antique 1895 Elgin Natl. Watch Co 14K Yellow Gold Ornate Etched ... “Carob Diamond Co presents one Antique 1895 Elgin Natl. Watch Co 14K Yellow Gold Ornate Etched Pocket Watch. Featuring a white ceramic dial that shows some mild crazing throughout, but most prominent between 1 and 2 o'clock down to the seconds window. There is a chip in the dial just above 4 o'clock, and a curved crack over 7 o'clock. The front case springs open when pressing down on pendant stem. The front of the case has monogram initials "EB"(?) within a leaf decorated shield, and a floral bouquet on the other side. The outer edges front, back and sides have a textured ornate floral etching as shown. The inside of the case backs and the dust cover have some light marks, and a couple notable scratches also shown in images. Included with purchase is a 1/20 12K gold filled rope chain (12" looped or 24" long unlatched) with spring ring closure & a fob hook to hold the watch. The case is made by W.H.Lyon (Lyon Brothers?), and is stamped 14K & confirmed solid. Weight is 53.9g (w/o chain).”
