Spencer for Hire - all seasons
This is a very good series. The bundle of all 3 series is a great value. Season 2 has Rita Fiori as a friend rather than as a seductress. This does give the writers more story lines that include Rita and my feeling is that this is animprovement on the original stories. Scenes of innuendo get tiresome in the books. I am partway through season 2, so I cannot speak for what happens after that point, but it's got to be good based on what I've seen so far. Robert Urich is excellent, and Hawk is a colorful character, moreso than even in the books. I look forward to a new installment every night!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

So says Hawk Spencer's indispensable back up and buddies. Well, as much of a friend as Hawk allows. The show is unavoidably dated and a little more corny that it has to be but overall it it is a nice blast from the past. And...I prefer Susan Silverman over the improbably young (27) ADA Rita Fiore. Old time detective story meets 1980's Boston.

While we have read all of Parker's Spenser books, we missed several of the TV series staring Robert Urich. Fan of Spenser and Hawk
So far I've only seen a few episodes, but they're moving a lot more slowly than I remember them. I remember that I used to love to watch this show when it originally aired, so I'm glad I bought the CDs. The only disappointing thing is the CD cases. The plastic is brittle and breaks easily.
