1979 C3 Corvette Dash Speaker Replacement
Not a ‘plug n play’ project in my 1979 C3 Corvette dash. Replacing Alpine plate speakers they had 1/8” diameter larder magnets and were 1/2” deeper overall requiring surgical removal of interfering material using a shafted Drexel tool. The area is very tight and access is very limited due to the proximity of the windshield. Also required modification of glove box hardware. Not for the ‘weak of heart’ but the sound quality is amazing! Good luck!

Fantastic speakers
I buy these to 4 x 6’s to fit stock location on 99 Silverado in rear head pillar. I pair them with Infinity Kappa 60.11cs 6.5” in doors To infinity Ref-704a amp . Pushing 100watts rms into each speaker , I can’t believe how clean , crisp , strong these little speakers are. I only need to add subwoofer to top off and already amazing sounding system.
