    Sony Marvellous

    Did not know cameras took floppy's until a browse on YouTube. That would have been that until the great offer from E-bay. While the controls are not as fluent like today's cameras, the handling is good. Pictures while not HD, are very acceptable. If one does not like swapping floppy disks, the unit also accepts Sony Memory Sticks. With 2.0 Mega Pixels plus a 6x zoom, this camera had to be a marvel in it's day.

    Flawed, earlier models had better lens’.

    This was the last camera in the Mavica FD Series and Sony fitted an inferior lens and dropped the audio facility of previous models. A better choice, although only 1.6 Mega Pixels, would be the FD92 or the FD90 which lacked the Memory Stick slot but had a manual focus option.
