H&R Block - a Good Value
I have H&R Block Deluxe tax software for over 10 years and very happy with it. I find it easy to use for normal income (W2, 1099-R,SS, etc) as well as investment income, capital gains, etc. It is a cheaper alternative to Turbo Tax equivalent software, and even cheaper when you buy it on EBay - typically under $30 for the deluxe version with Fed and one state included, along with 5 free Fed efiles. For complicated issues, one can access the H&R Community center and review or ask tax questions and get solutions from tax professionals.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Could not get last years information?
For some reason I could not transfer last years information to this year. I did not have this H&R last year but they said it would work, I am not a computer wiz so maybe I screwed up. So I had to type all the information in again. I haven't got all my information yet so I really can not comment on it yet. Right Price Too!
Received it even before I thought I would, and it installed easily as usual. I have imported last year's return, but have not actually begun doing the 2017 taxes as not there yet. Assuming it imports YE tax information from ALL our financial accounts as it has the past 2 years, it will be a 5 Star product and purchase. H&R Block Deluxe 2017 Federal & State Tax Software for Windows
Two things, If windows 10 installs an update to windows after H&R block is installed, H&R no longer works.If you completely uninstall the package and delete all remnants then reinstall it once again, it then seems to work again. If, for any reason you find a mistake in a filed return, doesn't have a working 1040X. IRS has a 1040X form you can get but H&R Block won't have a 1040X until some later date. If you need to use this form you will have to get a package from another company. Next year I will get a complete package from a different company. H&R block isn't the only fish in the ocean. I have used H&R block / tax cut software for about 15 years It does a great job and has a lot of help and hints how to enter information and get the most deductions as well as updating the calculations in order to show you how each change you input changes your taxes. it does a audit at the end to ensure you have not input any questionable items which may not be in accordance with normal the IRS guidelines . it very easy to submit your taxes to the IRS on line with this software which is included free and it will also give you feed back that it is accepted by the IRS .
