    You can smell the Powder and Blood and Sweat and hear the Battle Cry in this compelling telling of the one time Western Frontier and it's unsung HERO! A must read for all Black Powder enthusiasists and lovers of the movie "Jeremiah Johnson" and the Mountain Man Era! KNOW YER ROOTS! I am a BIG Fan of ALL Eckert's Novels!

    Just Wow!

    I'm about half way through this book, but just can't put it down. It is a fabulous read that is rich with history. No wonder there is a County and High School named after Simon Kenton. He was a man amongst men.
