2007 Skoda Octavia 1.9TDI Vastly improves clutch judder!
I originally swapped the dual mass flywheel clutch to a solid flywheel conversion to cure the clutch judder on my 2007 Skoda Octavia 1.9 TDI . This, to my dismay only made the judder slightly worse (not recommended!) Clutching at straws I then decided to work my way through the engine mountings, starting at the bottom rear (engine steady bar to subframe). A little tricky to fit into the subframe without breaking the outer plastic and I would say impossible without the use of a press and another pair of hands! Once fitted, has made the clutch so much nicer and no 'thunk' when the car is first started. There is still a sligtt trace of judder but perfectly acceptable as it is.
