Item almost as described, the 3.5" refers to the outer diameter, not the inside which is 3.12"(Information buried in the description and photos). I was able to shim it up to fit my desk cut out with some double sided foam tape. My desk came with a poorly located drink holder literally at my elbow and I needed it gone.
