Pros: The keyboard feels just the same as more expensive mechanical ones. Tactile feedback is great, keycaps are easy to pull but stay firmly in place, the rubber feet prevent displacement even in heavier typing and gaming situations. Overall the compact design saves space. Cons: The NumLock-based numpad toggle does not work in Mac OS X. The placement of the Home-PgUp-PgDn-End keys on the right side of the Enter key sometimes lead to typing errors. The quality of the platic keycaps, while far from bad, feels a tad on the cheap side.

I'm simply amazed by what the clone Cherry MX market is able to do. I was planning to buy a PCB for a custom keyboard, without backlight, and I would've had to make my own case. The PCB alone would cost me 70$, never mind the shipping. That's why I'm so glad I found out about this product. Amazing built in features, backlight, PCB, keycaps, a case and a braided (!) cable for less than 50$ shipped! The unit is pretty good out of the box, although the Outemu Blue switches I got activate slightly below the tactile bump. This made typing a nightmare for me, since I'm used to Cherry switches. If you don't plan to replace the switches, I would recommend you to get the Black or Red ones. I ended up replacing the switches for some Cherry MX Blues I already had. I also ordered some o-rings to make them a bit quieter, which really makes a difference, especially late at night. If I didn't have the Blue switches already, I'd probably get Brown ones. The backlight works very well, and I was stunned when I found out it actually had different modes. The rollover on this keyboard is switchable between 6 and 24-key, and it actually works! This requires a special diode for each switch, and the keyboard has these out of the box. I don't remember the shortcut to switch to 24-key rollover (the one on the help sheet in the box is incorrect) but I set it once and it has worked perfectly ever since. (On USB, I don't know if that changes if you use PS2.) In conclusion, I'm stunned by all that you get for your money with this keyboard. One thing I know for sure, this thing will probably be my keyboard of choice forever, because even typing this review was a total treat!Read full review
