I really enjoyed this book. If you are a fan of the series you really get into the book because it gives you insight to the Eyes Only world and the informant net. the format of the book and how it is diplayes as for example the e-mails and stuff are really good, it gives you a reall feel of an eyes only folder. ----spoilers---- The Sector 55 chapter is interesting, you don't think its going to end the way it does, I'll give this chapter a 7 out of 10. The second chapter, The Phoenic Project is my favourit. This is just mentioned once in the series and you really get a good look into it here. This is a good idea for a movie too. I really enjoyed thus chapter. The Third one, The Grand Coulee Massacre is the one i disliked the most. Its kind of a drag and kind of boring with most stuff we already knew. The only good thing about ths chapter is that it gives us an insight of the Jon Darius Character and the faces behind his Movment and it was mentioned that Logan had interviewed Darius in the series and we can find its transcript here. The last one, Davenport Genetics Institute is also a very good chapter, riviting and exciting. The one little thing I didn't like about this chapter is that Sketchy's articles don't sound like he has written them(which isn't the only problem in this book, But also in Max Allan Collins' DA books) Sometimes the book can get confusing in who the informant is and if you don't read one chapter in one go you kinda get confused but over all this book is really fun for ALL Dark Angel fans and I hight recomend it. This book gives you tons of (fictional) insight into the world of Cameron/Eglee's Dark Angel. It not only gives you the 411 on what's happening just after the series finale, it also covers some of the side stories that you knew were going on "off screen" but were sure how they ended up (like the pope problem from early 1st season). The most interesting thing about this book is the format - it's done up as a scrap book collection of printouts, newspaper clippings, and transcripts. It's very immersive, and unfocused. It really does read like a found bundle of evidence that you are reading through as best you can. It's not a story, it's the inside scoop on what's really happening... and assumes that you (the real world you) can suss out the implied cover up that you (the Dark Angel you of 2021) thought was the truth up 'til now. If you think of this book as a story, you will be disappointed. It's more of a narrative puzzle... most of a story, rather than just a story. That can make it far more satisfying when you see something come together just before it's revealed... or more often, not revealed. Did you outfox the conspirators? Or get outfoxed and led down a blind ally to the wrong conclusion? Who knows. If you play table top RPGs and want to set one in the Dark Angel universe, this book is a must have. There are dozens of plot hooks, page after page of props, and numerous character ideas.Read full review

This is the Dark Angel book to end what I think was a really great show. Granted I never did get to watch it when it first came out but the magic of DVDs brought it into my life. This book tries to tie up some of the loose ends that the show didn't. It is well written by the author acting as Cale Logan (EyesOnly). Too bad they didn't have a third season of this show. I think it would have been really great. I think maybe they sould make a Dark Angel motion picture. I know I would go to see it.
The book was interesting although so you know it focus's alot on things leading up to the series and some of what happens very early on. It is very focused on Eyes Only and only has like 2 pages on Max and not much written about the relationships between the characters. Still a great read for a true Dark Angel Fan
