This tent is very easy to set up. All the poles are color coded and the sturdy fittings stay attached to the tent body. I'm a 65 year old lady and I can set it up by myself in about 20-25 minutes. The hardest part is getting the fly over top of the tent when I'm alone. I drop the legs to 1/2 height, put the fly over then stand them back up and place on the pins. I also stake it after it's up rather than before making it easier to adjust. The tent is quite roomy and has great height all around. There is plenty of airflow especially if you remember to raise the little roof vents before putting the fly on. The only thing I would change is to make the fly a dark color to block the sun at dawn. An over tarp will fix that and keep bird doodoo of your lid.

I have camped in it once over night. No rain or wind. I like the tent over all. It is fairly easy to set up and it is spacious plus I like the festive look. One complaint is that there is a privacy issue. When you are hangin out the campsite and every time ya look out the window it seems like the people in the campsite next to you are sitting there watching you...well it’s awkward to have to go outside and drop the flaps for a little seclusion. Also I wish it had more tabs to hang things from the ceiling. As a gear head I love utilitarian features and the tent is lacking in that. Because I like the tent I decided to modify it by sewing a tab at every corner and 4 tabs midway up the ceiling posts. Now I can hang curtains inside the tent and I have plenty of utility tabs for lights or what ever to hang from ceiling. Problem solved. Can’t wait to camp again.Read full review

I have not had it out in the rain yet so the "assumption" is that it is waterproof. Simple set up; the basic tent goes up without any the need for instruction. Putting the flex rods in the door and awning is simple but requires some simple instruction. Tent is quite large with nearly vertical walls. I believe this tent is labeled for 8 people. If so, they better be quite friendly with each other. We are using it for 2 people with sleeping cots and it is quite comfy. There is plenty of room for sleeping, clothes, and other camping objects. I may add some more remarks after our week long outing in October.

Heavy 50 lbs. but the bag has wheels so it is easily transported. Easy set up w/ color coordinated poles. The rainfly is a little tricky to put on since the tent is 7' tall, but if you attach one side and then work the rest over the tent it is easily doable. Waterproof is a strong word. I would say it is very water resistant. Unless something is airtight it is not waterproof. That said, as long as you have the rainfly on properly there won't be any water that gets through. I did spray 3 cans of water proofing agent on all seams and the rest of the tent as added security. The stakes that come with the tent are basic metal stakes so I will be investing in some heavier duty ones. Overall it's a great tent. The high ceiling is a plus if you hate bending your back all the time to maneuver around in your tent.Read full review

I have set this tent up twice and let it air out over night, it's very spacious and talk, I'm just shy of 6 foot tall and can stand anywhere inside the tent and my head doesn't hit the ceiling. It has a room divider and 2 big mesh pockets with about 5 different holders for things in each side of the exit from the tent doors. One door uses poles so the door is like a hinged door very cool idea and the other is your standard zipper door. The tent has a full rainfly with each exit having a small awning as well as little detachable door mats. The tent is easy to set up took about 15 minutes the first time setting it up, the tent is Not lite it weights in at about 40 pounds, it comes with a big carry bag with wheels, however putting it back it the bag is a little bit of a challenge as it hardly fits back in the bag, so upon packing it in the second time the zipper on the bag broke, so my solution was to buy a bigger a bag, which worked out better since now I can fit everything that I take with my tent in that bag, my ground tarp, hammer, steak puller, and upgraded tent steaks. Over all I'm completely happy with this tent and have many camping adventures planned with it..Read full review
