Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Best Selling in Multimeters
Big display, easy to read. Accuracy is surprizingly good for DC and AC Voltage, and Resistance. Capacitance is OK. Buzzer is not good, typical for instruments in this price range. 20 mA range and 2 A range are not available, resulting in outside specs. measuring accuracy for certain currancy intervalls. Do not use the 20 A unfused terminal. Probe cables could set on fire! Probe cables are poor quality and are not safe to use för Mains Voltage and High currency applications .

Product has a few shortcomings. 9V battery was DOA. Does just about everything except it does not have a frequency counter. Leads were too short and did not have provisions to add accessories like E-Z Hook clips or alligator clips. No test lead extensions when it is necessary to take measurements with the meter in a safe zone while equipment is operating. Meter constructed of very cheap plastic and plastic case may crack during a shock or drop test. It would have been nice if I could find a carrying case for the meter & test leads. My old Fluke multi meter test leads were not compatible with this meter.

Good points: Tested Volts and Amps, DC and AC on all scales. Readings are well within the tolerances stated in hand-book. Digits on scale are so large, clear and easy to see. Meter comes with a rubber-plastic protective cover which could be useful for small falls. It is very unusual to find meters at this price that have AC current scales. Not so good points: 200mA scales should NOT be left for more than a few seconds, carrying more than 100mA. R53 and R54, both surface mounted will get fried and cause permanent damage on pcb. 200mA fuse is soldered in place - not snap on - probably it is only a gimmick - useful only in case of a dead-short. Probes are very light duty -handle with great care. All in all, paying just over $7 for an electrical instrument, one should not expect more. It is not meant to be a work-horse.Read full review
